Barcelona manager Xavi has announced his decision to step down at the end of the season despite having a year left on his contract. Xavi cited the need for a change of dynamic within the club and mentioned talks with Barcelona’s president and sporting director influenced his decision. He expressed concern for his mental health and hopes his departure will alleviate pressure on the team for the remainder of the season.
Spanish football expert Guillem Balague believes Xavi’s departure might mark the end of his managerial career as he doesn’t see him managing any other club. Balague also suggests that Xavi’s tenure at Barcelona faced challenges due to changes in club management and the team’s performance.
