Bayern Munich’s honorary president, Uli Hoeness has revealed that both Bayern and Liverpool are vying to appoint Xabi Alonso as their next manager. Alonso, currently coaching Bayer Leverkusen, is on the verge of potentially securing the club’s first Bundesliga title.
Hoeness highlighted Alonso’s coaching prowess and the competition among top clubs for managerial talent. With Thomas Tuchel leaving Bayern and Jurgen Klopp departing Liverpool, both clubs are in the market for new managers.
However, securing Alonso won’t be easy as he has a contract with Leverkusen until 2026 and other top clubs like Real Madrid are also keeping an eye on him.
