Bayern Munich will be without away fans at the Emirates Stadium for their Champions League quarter-final first leg against Arsenal. UEFA banned Bayern supporters from attending after incidents involving fireworks during their previous matches.

Bayern accepted the punishment acknowledging the severity of the violations. CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen described the ban as a significant setback affecting all supporters and the team. Meanwhile, Arsenal is set to benefit from the full capacity of home fans for their first Champions League quarter-final in 14 years.

Manager Mikel Arteta praised the impact of home supporters in their recent victory over Porto. The upcoming match marks Arsenal chance to improve their record against Bayern having lost their last three encounters with significant margins.
