Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has received a two games La Liga suspension following his red card after the 2-2 draw against Valencia. Bellingham (20) believed he had scored a late winner but the referee had already blown the whistle.
The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) cited Bellingham’s “contempt or disregard” towards the referee during post-match protests by Real players and staff. Despite Real’s appeal, the RFEF disciplinary committee upheld the decision.
Bellingham returning from an ankle injury was fined 600 euros and Real was fined 700 euros. He will miss two domestic games but remains eligible for the Champions League last-16 tie against RB Leipzig.
