Brazilian Forward Richarlison Speaks Out on Mental Health Journey

Tottenham forward Richarlison has credited seeking psychological assistance with “saving his life” and encourages others facing mental health challenges to do the same. The 26 years old Brazilian international revealed that therapy helped him overcome a period of struggle leading to a positive transformation both on and off the pitch. Richarlison emphasizes the importance of removing stigma around seeking mental health support and acknowledges the pressure athletes face.

He decided to seek help after a public emotional moment during a match for Brazil. Despite initial difficulties at Tottenham and a groin injury requiring surgery, Richarlison’s return to form has seen him score nine goals in his last 13 games for the club. He expressed gratitude for his turnaround and is eager to continue contributing aiming for 50 caps with the Brazilian national team in upcoming matches against England and Spain.
