AC Milan is reportedly interested in securing the services of 31-year-old striker Callum Wilson from Newcastle according to the Daily Mail. Wilson would consider the move if an acceptable transfer fee is agreed upon, although Atletico Madrid’s loan offer has already been turned down. If the right price is offered, Wilson might be on the move leaving Newcastle in search of a replacement.
The Daily Mail mentions that RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko has been a long-time target but his £42 million release clause becomes active only in the summer. With 18 months left on Wilson’s contract a substantial offer would force Newcastle into a significant decision. Despite the potential interest, Newcastle’s manager Eddie Howe is determined to retain his No. 9, who is set to return from a four-week calf layoff this month.
