Top seed Carlos Alcaraz secured a straight-sets victory over Gael Monfils at the Miami Open, advancing to the last 16. Alcaraz aiming for consecutive tournament wins following his triumph at Indian Wells will face Lorenzo Musetti next. Meanwhile, Alexander Zverev, the fourth seed overcame Christopher Eubanks in a challenging match, setting up a clash with Russian 15th seed Karen Khachanov.

Alcaraz praised Monfils’ athleticism and expressed his delight at playing in front of sports legends Neymar, Jimmy Butler and Juan Martin del Potro. Zverev acknowledged the difficulty of his match but remained resilient clinching victory despite facing break points.
