Carlos Alcaraz Wimbledon champion faces an ankle injury that forced him to retire from the Rio Open after just two games. Tests revealed a grade two lateral sprain requiring him to take some days off work.
Despite the setback, the 20 years old Spaniard is optimistic about playing in Indian Wells and a Las Vegas exhibition against Rafael Nadal.
The main draw for the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells begins on March 6th. Alcaraz ranked second globally remains committed to his upcoming events with a focus on recovery.
