Manchester United is planning a £100 million strategy for the summer aiming to offload Jadon Sancho and Antony to recoup around £50 million each, as reported by the Standard. While this falls short of the £155 million spent on the duo, the club is willing to cut losses and is also considering the potential sale of Casemiro.
According to the Standard, United’s director of football, John Murtough, engaged with officials from the Saudi Pro League and Saudi Ministry of Sport during the Club World Cup in December to establish connections. There is an increased expectation of player sales in the upcoming summer.
Casemiro, a 31-year-old midfielder who has been sidelined with an ankle injury since October is reportedly the player most sought after by Saudi clubs. United is open to selling him for the right price. Additionally, the report mentions the possibility of Raphael Varane moving to Saudi Arabia but United is unlikely to receive a transfer fee for him as they chose not to activate a one-year extension clause in his contract.
