Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers faced criticism from women’s groups after making a ‘good girl’ comment to BBC Scotland reporter Jane Lewis during a post-match interview. For Women Scotland accused Rodgers of casual sexism and called for an apology. Lewis a seasoned broadcaster had asked Rodgers to clarify his cryptic comments about the title race leading to his condescending remark.
The Scottish Feminist Network expressed disappointment in the persistence of casual sexism in sports and demanded an apology.
