Celtic’s recent January acquisition, Nicolas Kuhn, steps into a club with a strong tradition of expecting nothing less than victory. Having experienced the demanding environments of Bayern Munich and Ajax, the 24-year-old winger emphasized that these top clubs only accept being at the pinnacle, much like the expectations at Celtic. During his press conference, Kuhn acknowledged the pressure and high standards set by these prestigious clubs, expressing his readiness to face the challenges at Celtic.

Kuhn’s move from Rapid Vienna to Celtic signifies a significant step in his career, with the Austrian club recognizing it as a natural progression for the talented player. While breaking into Brendan Rodgers’ starting XI presents a formidable challenge due to existing competition, Kuhn’s arrival suggests his intent to positively disrupt the status quo.

Reflecting on his experiences at Ajax and Bayern Munich, Kuhn remarked, “I think there were also some clubs in the past (Ajax and Bayern Munich), they only accept place number one. So, I am used to it (the pressure), and I am looking forward towards what is coming. Of course, you want to win every game.”

With a surplus of wingers at Rodgers’ disposal, some player exits are anticipated. However, Kuhn’s opportunity to make a significant impact has arrived, especially with Daizen Maeda away on international duty. While Luis Palma and Liel Abada might secure immediate starting spots, Kuhn is positioned as the next in line, providing him the chance to impress before Maeda’s return from the Asian Cup.
