Champions of Europe: Clubs with the Most UEFA Champions League Victories

The UEFA Champions League trophy is the coveted prize every European club aspires to lift. Achieving success in this prestigious competition demands consistent performance throughout the season and the ability to deliver under pressure. While some clubs have thrived in the Champions League, others have faced disappointment on numerous occasions.

Real Madrid stands out as the most successful club in Champions League history clinching a record 14 titles including their latest triumph against Liverpool in 2022. AC Milan follows closely behind with seven titles but they haven’t tasted victory in the competition since 2007. Liverpool and Bayern Munich share the third spot with six wins each.

On the flip side, Juventus holds the unfortunate record for the most losses in Champions League finals having been defeated seven times despite winning the title twice. Bayern Munich and Benfica are next in line with five final losses each while Atletico Madrid has faced defeat in all three finals they’ve contested. Inter Milan has both won and lost three finals with their most recent loss occurring in 2023.
