Charley Hull had to withdraw from the LPGA Tour’s Ford Championship during the second round due to illness, despite a strong start with an opening level-par 72 followed by a 2-under par on the front nine of her second round. Hull who has been battling flu all week has been playing well over the past year with a couple of runner-up finishes in majors but remains winless on the LPGA Tour since October 2022. Despite a recent near-miss at the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship where she finished T10, she has garnered criticism from pundits like Trish Johnson for her aggressive course management.
