Chelsea’s summer signings Christopher Nkunku and Romeo Lavia, both acquired for substantial fees, have faced early setbacks in their debut season with the club – but both might be back for selection soon, according to reports.
Nkunku suffered a knee injury during pre-season, delaying his competitive debut for Chelsea. Meanwhile, Lavia grappled with ankle problems that have kept him sidelined as well.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino provided updates on their status, indicating that Nkunku’s return to the team may be on the horizon and could align with Lavia’s reintegration.
The significant price tags of £52 million for Nkunku and £53 million for Lavia reflect the club’s investment in their talent.
Chelsea fans eagerly anticipate the duo’s imminent contributions, hoping their skills will add depth and strength to the squad as the season progresses.
