Due to a hernia injury he suffered during Chelsea’s League Cup match against Newcastle United earlier this week, midfielder Enzo Fernandez will be absent from Sunday’s Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, announced that Fernandez would miss the match against Wolves due to an injury.
According to Pochettino, Fernandez felt unwell during the Newcastle game and tests revealed that he has a hernia.
Fernandez’s injury is not serious, according to Pochettino, and the team should not have any trouble with his recovery.
With Wolverhampton Wanderers in 13th place, Chelsea, who are presently ranked 10th in the Premier League standings, will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak on the road.
