Joaquin Niemann secured a notable victory at the LIV Golf Jeddah extending his successful streak after winning the Australian Open in December. With his second title in three LIV Tour starts this season, the 25 years old closed with a four-under 66 to finish at 17 under after three rounds in Saudi Arabia.
Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel of South Africa tied for second place. Despite Louis Oosthuizen being Niemann’s closest challenger, a dropped shot on the 16th hindered his pursuit. Niemann’s consistent performance including back-to-back birdies on the 17th and 18th holes resulted in a comfortable four shots victory.
Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Anthony Kim returning to the professional game after 12 years ended up last on the leaderboard.
