According to journalist Paul Brown, Chelsea appears eager to offload Conor Gallagher a target for Tottenham potentially for less than their initial asking price. While manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to retain Gallagher there’s uncertainty from higher up within Chelsea.
Despite Pochettino’s efforts to keep Gallagher, Chelsea’s board is reportedly open to selling him to facilitate new signings. The rumored asking price of £80 million may be negotiable with Chelsea likely to accept a lower offer.
Tottenham opreviously interested in Gallagher might make a late bid for him before the transfer window closes. Brown suggests Gallagher could thrive at Tottenham or other potential suitors.
