Cooper slams Wallabies' early exit
Former Wallabies flyhalf Quade Cooper has criticized Eddie Jones’ coaching staff for Australia’s early exit from the Rugby World Cup pool stage.
Cooper stated that in the six months leading up to the tournament, the Wallabies “did not really have a plan.” He believed that the selection of some assistant coaches, such as a former rugby league prop as an attack coach, demonstrated a lack of rugby knowledge.
Cooper was disappointed to be left out of the World Cup squad and disagreed with Jones’ comments about his commitment.
After a dismal year in charge, Jones left his position as Australia’s head coach and accepted the head coaching position in Japan. Cooper feels that players only have one opportunity to represent their nation.
