The upcoming Malaysia Esports Awards will recognize outstanding contributions to the local esports industry across various categories, from players to hosts, casters, and journalists. The inaugural event is scheduled for January 27, 2024, at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre. A panel of 22 judges, including industry veterans like Eric Khor and Tiffani Lim, will determine winners, with the public contributing 20% of the total score through voting. The awards feature 16 categories, encompassing Esports Media, Academy, Host, Caster (Bahasa and English), Sports Game Player, Racing Game Player, Fighting Games Player, Battle Royale Player, MOBA Player, FPS Player, Esports Team, and Esports Organization. Nominees for Player of the Year (Female), Player of the Year (Male), and MVP of the Year are yet to be announced.
