Coventry’s Victor Torp described his heartbreak after his disallowed goal in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United. Torp who came on as a substitute scored what he thought was the winning goal in extra time only for it to be ruled out for offside by VAR. Torp struggled to cope with the decision and couldn’t even bring himself to watch the replay until the next day.
Despite his disappointment, Torp reflected on the surreal experience of almost achieving something magical for Coventry. He also recounted the rollercoaster of emotions he felt during the game, from being down 3-0 to leveling the scoreline. Despite converting in the penalty shootout, Torp couldn’t shake the feeling of having his moment of glory taken away from him.
