Cristiano Ronaldo Advises Al-Nassr to Pursue Casemiro Amid Manchester United Exit Rumors

Reports suggest that Cristiano Ronaldo has advised Al-Nassr to pursue a move for Casemiro, who is reportedly open to embracing a ‘new challenge.’ The Brazilian midfielder has been surrounded by rumors of a potential departure from Manchester United in recent weeks, especially as he approaches the age of 32 next month. Despite an impressive debut season at Old Trafford, Casemiro’s form declined prior to a hamstring injury, raising questions about his long-term future with the club.

Casemiro, who signed a five-year deal in August 2022 at the age of 30, has faced criticism for what some view as poor planning. Manchester United invested £60 million in acquiring the midfielder, but concerns have surfaced about the possibility of the club recouping a significant portion of that investment just 18 months after his arrival.

With the anticipated shift in approach by Sir Jim Ratcliffe regarding transfers, contracts, and sales, speculations about Casemiro’s exit from Manchester United have gained traction. While the club is reportedly open to offers for the player this month, a definitive sale is not currently foreseen.

According to a report from Foot Mercato, Ronaldo has urged Al-Nassr to explore the possibility of bringing his former Real Madrid teammate to the Saudi Pro League. However, securing Casemiro’s services could be challenging. Saudi league regulations impose strict quotas on overseas players within squad numbers, meaning Al-Nassr would need to release an existing non-domestic player to accommodate Casemiro. Despite potential considerations to relax these rules, a January move remains unlikely, and any changes might not take effect until the start of the next season.
