Hossein Vafaei strongly criticized the conditions at the Crucible after losing to Judd Trump in the World Snooker Championship, describing the venue as “smelly” and the practice facilities as akin to “playing in a garage.” He suggested improvements to make it more appealing for players.
World Snooker Tour responded acknowledging limitations but aiming to make the venue as welcoming as possible. Meanwhile, Trump comfortably secured victory over Vafaei. Mark Selby struggled against Joe O’Connor and Zhang Anda was eliminated by Jak Jones. Shaun Murphy maintained a lead over Lyu Haotian despite some setbacks.
