Crystal Palace Pins Hopes on Austrian Tactician Oliver Glasner

Oliver Glasner has been appointed as the new manager of Crystal Palace succeeding Roy Hodgson. The 49 years old Austrian previously with Eintracht Frankfurt is known for revitalizing struggling teams. His tactical approach is described as favoring underdog football effective in hitting opponents on the break.

Glasner a former player for SV Ried started his coaching career in 2012 and gained a favorable reputation. He guided LASK to a second place finish in the Austrian top flight before managing Wolfsburg and later Eintracht Frankfurt winning the Europa League in 2021-22.

Glasner faces the challenge of improving Palace’s form and avoiding relegation.
