Danilo Cataldi Opens Up on Maurizio Sarri's Shock Resignation from Lazio

Danilo Cataldi sheds light on Maurizio Sarri departure from Lazio hinting at undisclosed issues. Following four consecutive defeats, Sarri resigned leaving only Giovanni Martusciello as caretaker manager for one match which Lazio won 3-2 against Frosinone. Cataldi thanked Martusciello for his support but acknowledged the fans’ dissatisfaction. 

He revealed that Sarri resigned to provoke a reaction from the team and help them finish the season positively. President Claudio Lotito accused some players of betraying Sarri but Cataldi declined to comment preferring to address issues internally. He admitted uncertainty about Sarri resignation but hopes it benefits Lazio. Igor Tudor is expected to become the new coach with a contract until June 2025.
