Darren Moore former Pompey defender has become the new manager of Port Vale signing a five and half years deal until 2029.
Moore replaces Andy Crosby who was sacked last week after a poor run of results. Despite a recent draw Port Vale is now in the relegation zone.
Moore previously with Sheffield Wednesday aims to secure League One status this season and build a long terms footballing identity. The swift appointment comes after Moore’s recent dismissal as Huddersfield manager.
Port Vale’s co-owner, Carol Shanahan expressed excitement about Moore’s alignment with the club’s goals. Moore is set to lead the team in upcoming fixtures with little time to settle into his new role.
