Gary Neville has criticized Jamie Carragher for his opinion on the best Premier League rivalry deeming it “offensive.” Carragher believes the rivalry between Manchester City and Liverpool is the greatest citing the quality of their matches.
However, Neville argues that the Arsenal-Manchester United rivalry from 1998 to 2004 was more intense with both teams winning multiple titles. Carragher defended his stance referencing Neville involvement in past heated clashes between United and Arsenal.
Neville also criticized Manchester City for their performance against Liverpool likening playing at Anfield to being in a “washing machine.” He emphasized the importance of not letting up against Liverpool and always aiming for more goals.
