The Denver Broncos are actively scouting top quarterbacks in preparation for the 2024 NFL draft. Following their attendance at Oregon’s pro day to evaluate Bo Nix, Broncos scouts were also present at UCS pro day where Caleb Williams showcased his skills.
Sae Woon Jo, Denver’s Western national scout closely observed Williams’ performance mirroring the attention given to Nix. While the Broncos are thoroughly assessing all quarterback prospects it appears unlikely that they will secure Williams in the draft.
Despite Coach Sean Payton’s admiration for Williams, the Chicago Bears are expected to pick him with the first overall selection. With the Broncos slated to pick 12th overall acquiring a top QB may require a trade-up scenario. The 2024 NFL draft is scheduled to take place in Detroit from April 25-27.
