While signing autographs post-match, Djokovic was struck on the head by a falling water bottle from a spectator’s backpack. Despite the momentary discomfort, he managed to progress to the third round after defeating Moutet 6-3 6-1.
The tournament organizers clarified that it was an accidental occurrence and Djokovic received medical attention as a precautionary measure. He later left the venue and returned to his hotel,with no serious concerns about his condition. In the match, Djokovic faced initial challenges but eventually overcame Moutet strong start to secure victory.
Moutet frustration was evident as he struggled to maintain his composure receiving warnings from the umpire for various outbursts. Djokovic credited Moutet talent but expressed satisfaction with his own performance in adapting to the match’s dynamics.
