Djokovic's Trusted Physio Miljan Amanovic Overcomes Heart Attack to Continue Career

Miljan Amanovic, Novak Djokovic’s long serving physio had to alter his career path after experiencing a heart attack attributed to the stress of constant travel on the tennis tour. Amanovic began working with Djokovic in 2007 but their collaboration became part-time after the physio’s health scare. In 2017, Amanovic suffered a heart attack leading to a break from full time travel.

After a complete recovery, he resumed working with Djokovic and currently serves at Djokovic’s Novak Tennis Centre in Serbia. Djokovic acknowledges Amanovic’s pivotal role in his team and expresses gratitude for his dedication emphasizing their close bond. Despite the challenges, Amanovic continues to support Djokovic traveling with him and contributing to his success on the court.
