ESPN’s head of event and studio production, David Roberts released a statement on social media expressing well wishes to former Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers and anticipating documenting the next phase of his coaching career. The Bucks, despite a 30-13 record fired coach Jason Kidd Griffin on Tuesday. Interim coach Joe Prunty will lead the team in their upcoming game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Doc Rivers was fired by the Philadelphia 76ers eight months ago is set to replace Griffin. Rivers with nearly 25 years of head coaching experience, played for Marquette and has championship experience with the Boston Celtics in 2008. His task with the Bucks is to improve their defense which currently ranks 21st in the league. Rivers, with 1,097 regular-season wins is one win away from tying Larry Brown for the eighth-most wins in NBA history.
