Star quarterback Jayden Daniels may still be drafted by the Washington Commanders with the second overall pick in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft but recent developments have added some drama to the situation. Reports suggest turmoil arising from Washington decision to host Daniels along with three other top quarterback prospects before making their first-round selection.

Daniels who won the Heisman Trophy last season at LSU after transferring from Arizona Stat, is reportedly uncertain about playing for the Commanders. His agent, Ron Butler appeared to express dissatisfaction with Washington decision by liking critical posts on social media. While Daniels remains a favorite for the No. 2 pick there are indications that he has considered his options including the possibility of playing for the Las Vegas Raiders.

However, this scenario appears unlikely. The situation presents an unexpected challenge for Washington as they seek a new starting quarterback following the departure of Sam Howell. The Commanders are under the leadership of new head coach Dan Quinn and first-year general manager Adam Peters. The 2024 NFL Draft is scheduled to take place from April 25-27.
