Dundee has raised “serious concerns” with the Scottish FA regarding the handling of Michael Mellon’s head injury during a Premiership match against St Johnstone. Dundee manager Tony Docherty described the injury as “almost life-endangering” and criticized the delay in stopping play after the clash of heads.
The Scottish FA plans to respond directly to Dundee but does not intend to issue further statements. Mellon has been released from the hospital and Dundee is expressing their concerns to the Scottish FA emphasizing the need for immediate attention to head injuries.
Dundee won the match 2-1 after a late header from Jordan McGhee.
