Emma Raducanu Secures Wildcard Entry for Miami Open Comeback

Emma Raducanu the British tennis player has been granted a wildcard entry to compete in the upcoming Miami Open in March. Currently ranked 252nd in the world, Raducanu has been recovering from an eight months injury layoff and hasn’t played since her loss in Doha on February 12.

Former major champions Venus Williams and Caroline Wozniacki have also received wildcards for the prestigious hard-court tournament. Although it remains uncertain if Raducanu will participate in the Indian Wells event preceding Miami, her recent Instagram post suggests she might be heading to Los Angeles.

Despite a protected injury ranking allowing her entry into the Australian Open, Raducanu’s current ranking requires wildcards for other top WTA tournaments. Having undergone wrist and ankle surgeries, she returned to the tour in January and with three wins in seven comeback matches, continues her journey to regain form.
