Emma Raducanu has been selected for Great Britain team in the qualifying round of the 2024 Billie Jean King Cup against France. The squad led by captain Anne Keothavong, includes British No. 1 Katie Boulter, Harriet Dart and Heather Watson. GB aims to build on recent successes with Keothavong highlighting the team’s strength and improvement.
The tie will take place in France from April 12-13. GB earned their spot in the qualifiers with a playoff win over Sweden. The winner of the tie will advance to the Billie Jean King Cup finals while the loser will compete in the playoffs. Raducanu still recovering from a challenging 2023 season will participate in the Miami Open before joining the Billie Jean King Cup squad.
The tie will be played on indoor clay providing preparation for upcoming clay court tournaments. Raducanu schedule includes tournaments in Stuttgart, Madrid, Rome and the French Open.
