Watford has brought back former striker Emmanuel Dennis from Turkish club Basaksehir on loan until the end of the Championship season. Dennis previously scored 10 goals in 33 matches for Watford during the 2021-22 Premier League season, joined Nottingham Forest in August 2022. However, he managed to score only twice in 19 top-flight games for Forest before moving on loan to Basaksehir in Istanbul in September. The 26-year-old Nigerian forward has also played in Belgium and Germany. Dennis becomes Watford’s first signing of the transfer window. His arrival comes with the Hornets currently sitting ninth in the table, three points outside the play-off places.
