Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart has informed the club that he will retire at the end of the current season. The 36 years old whose contract expires in the summer has been the first-choice goalkeeper for Celtic this season. However, his performances have faced criticism and fans have been calling for a new long terms goalkeeper.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers expressed uncertainty about Hart’s future but now it has been officially announced that Hart will retire at the conclusion of the 2023/24 campaign. Hart who joined Celtic on a free transfer has made 138 appearances for the club.
Rodgers praised Hart’s remarkable career and acknowledged his significant contributions to Celtic and football in general.
