Grace Clinton marked her England debut with a goal in their commanding victory over Austria in a friendly match earning praise from manager Sarina Wiegman. Clinton on loan from Manchester United to Tottenham scored England’s second goal and displayed an impressive performance.
Despite Austria scoring twice from set-pieces, England’s Alessia Russo, Beth Mead, Jess Carter and Rachel Daly secured a comprehensive win. The match served as preparation for the Lionesses as they gear up for the defense of their European title in the 2025 finals. England faces Italy in their next friendly match on Tuesday.
