Despite initially trailing to Joey Veerman early strike, Germany equalized through Maximilian Mittelstadt. The victory marked Germany first consecutive wins under coach Julian Nagelsmann. The Euro 2024 finals will commence on June 14 with Germany facing Scotland in Group A which also includes Hungary and Switzerland.
The Netherlands, drawn in Group D alongside Poland, Austria and France made several changes for the match. The tournament will culminate with the final at Berlin Olympiastadion on July 14.
