Everton slipped into the Premier League relegation zone after securing a hard fought goalless draw against Fulham. The Toffees facing a 10-point deduction appeal for financial rule breaches dropped to 18th place. Despite a lack of goals both teams had woodwork hits and clearances off the line. Fulham dominated the second half with Everton surviving numerous threats.
Fulham’s Raul Jimenez and Issa Diop suffered injuries adding to their frustrations. Everton missed an injury time chance to snatch victory but Sean Dyche acknowledged his team’s effort amid a challenging period.
