Following an aggressive move during the Chinese GP sprint race an F1 star issued an apology. Lewis Hamilton overtaking maneuver on Lando Norris at Turn 1 set the stage for an exciting race but Max Verstappen impressive performance saw him take the lead by lap 9 eventually winning with a significant gap.

However, incidents further down the field marred the race, notably when Carlos Sainz collided with Fernando Alonso resulting in a puncture for Alonso and a DNF. Sainz also faced criticism for his defense against teammate Charles Leclerc prompting him to apologize for any actions deemed excessive.
