An investigation into a homicide has been initiated following a fatal stabbing outside Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The victim was discovered with multiple knife wounds in Haringey during the early hours of Sunday morning. Metropolitan Police officers and paramedics responded to the scene at Northumberland Park just before 6 am and made efforts to revive the man but he was pronounced dead on-site. The incident raised concerns about the potential impact on Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League fixture against Nottingham Forest scheduled for Sunday afternoon.

While authorities believe they have identified the victim, they are working to notify his next of kin and no arrests have been made thus far. Tottenham Hotspur confirmed that the scheduled fixture will proceed as planned, although specific roads surrounding the stadium will remain closed for the duration of the game due to the ongoing police investigation. The club expressed condolences for the victim’s family and affected individuals and urged fans to allow extra travel time to the stadium.

Forensic teams and police cordons were observed at the scene. Chief Inspector Stephen Johnston-Keay conveyed condolences to the victim’s family and assured the community that specialist detectives are diligently investigating the incident. He urged anyone with information to come forward and provided contact details for those willing to assist with the investigation.
