Fatima Whitbread Condemns Changes to Union Jack Design by British Olympic Association

British sporting icon Fatima Whitbread has strongly criticized the British Olympic Association for altering the design of the Union Jack on Team GB “Supporters Flags” for the upcoming Paris Olympic Games. Whitbread expressed her dismay labeling the changes as “absolutely disgusting,” emphasizing the importance of preserving the traditional red, white and blue colors.

She highlighted the flag significance representing the country heritage and values. Whitbread stressed the need to uphold national pride and unity, rooted in the flag historical symbolism. She lamented the alteration as a departure from the principles for which past generations fought reaffirming her pride in being British and advocating for the preservation of the Union Jack  traditional colors.
