Former Manchester United and England midfielder Jesse Lingard is seriously considering an offer from South Korean club FC Seoul. Lingard (31) has been a free agent since departing Nottingham Forest last season. FC Seoul has proposed a two-year contract with an attractive salary package. Previously, Lingard trained with West Ham and had a stint at Saudi side Al-Ettifaq.
Lingard is expected to undergo a medical with FC Seoul next Monday and join the team for training in Japan on February 4th. Seoul FC head coach Kim Gi-dong expressed excitement about the potential signing emphasizing the positive impact it could have on the K-League. Lingard began his professional career at Manchester United where he spent 11 years before joining Forest in 2022.
