Midtjylland’s Sweden midfielder Kristoffer Olsson is on a ventilator in the hospital after losing consciousness at home due to what seems to be an acute brain related illness. The Danish club confirmed his admission to Aarhus University Hospital on February 20 and emphasized that the illness is not self-inflicted or caused by external factors.
Medical experts are working to diagnose and treat Olsson. The former Arsenal player (28) has received support from his former club and the Swedish football community. Olsson who has 47 caps for Sweden joined Midtjylland permanently in 2015 and has played for clubs in Russia and Belgium.
The club asks for respect and understanding for Olsson, his family and medical teams during this challenging time.
