Former Liverpool player Fabio Aurelio sustained broken ribs and a damaged lung after participating in a Legends match against Ajax at Anfield. Despite the competitive nature of the game, Aurelio attempted to block a shot resulting in the injury.
He had to spend a night in the hospital but is now recovering well. Liverpool emerged victorious in the match with goals from various former players. Aurelio who signed for Liverpool in 2006 and spent six years at the club recalled some of his memorable moments including scoring a free-kick against Manchester United in 2009.
He also won trophies with the club including the Community Shield in 2006 and the League Cup in 2012.
