Ryan Giggs former Wales manager is currently serving as the director of football at Salford City a League Two club he co-owns with other members of the ‘Class of 92’ from Manchester United. Giggs along with Phil and Gary Neville, Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes collectively owns 10% of the club. This marks Giggs’ first role since leaving his position with the Welsh national team in June 2022 following his clearance from allegations of assault against his ex-girlfriend and her sister in July 2023.
Under the guidance of Nicky Butt as chief executive, Salford City has recently disclosed Ryan Giggs’ participation in a press release affirming the recruitment of Alex Bruce as assistant coach. The team currently positioned 20th in League Two and under the management of Karl Robinson was established a decade ago with the appointment of Giggs and the ‘Class of 92’ consortium.
