James Forrest made a significant impact in his first start for Celtic in five months scoring twice to secure a 2-1 victory against Dundee and maintain Celtic lead at the top of the cinch Premiership. Forrest performance prompted manager Brendan Rodgers to acknowledge his underutilization throughout the season.

Despite Rangers’ win earlier in the day, Celtic victory restored their three points lead at the top of the table. Rodgers expressed relief at securing the win praising Forrest contributions and highlighting the importance of the three points.

Meanwhile, Rangers secured a hard-fought 2-1 win against St Mirren with Cyriel Dessers scoring the decisive goal to keep their Premiership title bid on track. Rangers manager Philippe Clement emphasized the importance of the win and urged his team to maintain their strong mentality in the remaining league matches and cup final.
