Ciaran Frawley will start at full-back in the Six Nations game against Wales replacing the injured Hugo Keenan as Ireland chases a Grand Slam. This is the only change from the XV that began the opening win over France. Seven changes have been made from the round two win over Italy including the return of Bundee Aki and Jamison Gibson-Park to the backs.
Peter O’Mahony, Tadhg Furlong, Tadhg Beirne and Josh van der Flier are all recalled in the forwards. Captain O’Mahony and Van der Flier return to the flanker roles with Caelan Doris at number eight. The bench features a 6-2 split including Conor McMurray and Stuart McCloskey as the only backs. Oli Jager is in line for his debut and Ronan Kelleher and Cian Healy provide forward cover. Garry Ringrose remains unavailable due to a shoulder injury.
