Sevilla has secured the loan signing of Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri for the remainder of the season. Originally expected to feature in Tunisia’s Africa Cup of Nations squad, Hannibal decided to withdraw from the tournament to focus on his club career.

Despite interest from various clubs, including Everton, the 20-year-old has chosen to join Sevilla in a deal that includes an option to buy, valued at £17.2 million. With 10 appearances for Manchester United this season, Hannibal recently played in the FA Cup third-round victory against Wigan on January 8. Despite starting only one Premier League game and not participating in the recent 2-2 draw with Tottenham, Hannibal embarks on a new chapter with Sevilla.
