From Old Trafford to ‘Wembley of the North’: Council and Club Explore Regeneration Plans

Sir Jim Ratcliffe a co-owner of Manchester United has proposed replacing Old Trafford with a new stadium that could double as a ‘Wembley of the North.’ Trafford Council welcomes this proposal as part of its wider plans to regenerate the Trafford Wharf area.
